some people dont seem to get what “bourgeoisie” means…
in socialist thought (not just bolshevist), the feudal upper-middle class – the merchants – are referred to as the “bourgeoisie.” the French Revolution saw the bourgeoisie rise to power, ending Feudalism and beginning the sort of society those of us in north america have: Liberalism. at this point, the bourgeoisie commonly come to be called “capitalists,” and are said to be the new upper class. they are today’s upper class.
