What are the requirments to buy an Apple iPhone 3g?

I have at&t cingular and my line is avaliable for upgrade decenmer 14. when I can do that can I just buy the iphone or will I have to change my plan or something.

    If you dont have a data plan you will have to signup for one, otherwise it is no problem, just go to the store and they will do the switch

    You have to have a minimum $70 a month on ur service i already checked i wanted to do the same thing or you could find 1 on ebay or here (it free and legit) and just put your sim card in it
